I would love some help, we are not allowed to have chickens but recently found out we should be able to have backyard quail! Since this is our only legal option, that's all we can do. If I had my first choice I would love bantams but I'm excited about quail too.

I am a COMPLETE newbie, I had interactions with backyard chickens when I was little but I've never raised them myself. We are interested in the quail for eggs and entertainment (we have two small kids). I was trying to figure out how to set up their living situation...I wanted to get an Omlet Eglu Go Up because it's plastic and easier to spray down but it's unclear to me how well it will work. They have other run designs but this one is taller (I've read quail can jump up and hurt themselves on low runs), has a double door (I also read that they escape easily) and it's big enough for the kids to walk in and pick up eggs. It is designed for chickens and I know quail won't nest the same but will they still use the coop? If I replace the ladder with a wooden ramp will they be able to get up into it? Lastly, this is designed to be able to "tractor", our yard is quite small but if we move it every week do we need to address the poop left over or will it simply decompose into the lawn? Thank you SO much for your help. I've attached a picture of the coop/run setup.

I can't answer to the moveable run because my quail are kept in cages. But I will warn you that quail seem to poop a hundred times more often than chickens. Its a constant battle for me. Seems to me you would need to move it more than 1 x weekly.

Does the poop sit around like goose poop or decompose quickly like bird poop? I'm not sure what to expect.

Well, in my case I have them in cages with trays to catch the poop, so Its dumped on compost heap every few days. I'm not sure how fast it will decompose on grass. Its like chicken poop but softer. More damp? Never had a goose but it's not like duck poo, if that helps.
