Another option is Black Jack 57, which is a rubberized coating that you paint on, but it's costlier than deck paint, has some restrictions as far as application, and may be hard to get depending on what stores you have available. It is very good at sealing up small cracks and crevices, is slip resistant, and seems to wear well, as I'm going on 5 years with it.
