First off I was just trying to make a point.... Second my hens are healthy and happy, they can go in to the coop which is also a run that's fully covered even has a metal roof. I was simply trying to point out that the birds would be ok. Square feet per bird varies greatly all across the country, same as next box space. I have had flocks of birds that have 10 boxes only use 2 even though some book says 3 birds per box. Same with roost space no matter how much you give them they all sit right next to each other even though it says some where they need triple the space they use.
