NEVER throw away lawn mower wheels! My DH will stop at your curb and strip those wheels off while you slept and add them to his "wheel shelf" in the garage!

Haha! My MIL has a baaad habit of buying them at garage sales( the whole mower) Between her and I we own 12 acres together and she thinks she's helping to have "extra's" around. Well If I saw a 5$ mower I would assume its completely blown-which the last 4 she purchased this summer has been exactly what I said! To the dump they go this weekend-but I will strip wheels now!!

Hi, Happy--I'll be paypaling you the money tomorrow. The money is in the account today, but I am trying to be careful.

I know we already communicated about this, but thought you would like to know it was just about on the way.

Does it have to have a floor? I was planning to let the ground be the floor so that I could move it around in the yard and the chickens could scratch on the ground and eat grass and bugs.

Oh--and--guess what! It will protected, too, because this very weekend my husband and I are going after a wonderful dog to protect them. It is an English Shepherd, and I think he will be so great to protect the chickens from varmints.

In the winter when the ground gets cold I will either move the chickens into the main coop, or put a whole bunch of hay on the ground for the warmth.

i would like to be nosey, what was the cost of these?
they do look wonderful and easy. everyone has some great ideas to make them just what they wanted. nice job everyone.

AHappyChick,

We put ours together this weekend and it is so cute. Even the bus driver has mentioned how cute it is. Neighbors have come over, etc. One of the lady's from the 4-H club loves it too.

So if you decide to do this again, or would be kind and pass on the name of your distributor in China, details etc. I think there may be a market here.

I'm pretty sure that I can use another and who knows....

Thanks again
Tracy
You can PM me.

For the person wondering about the floor? It is not necessary until less you want it. I am putting hardwire cloth along the bottom of mine as you would a chicken run.

BTW I love the idea of the additional wood at the roofline. My roof is not screwed down yet so I am considering this as well. Thanks tons for sharing.

I also used gorilla glue under the roofing edges that were sticking up any...just to make sure there were no gaps for moisture.

I finally had time to open the box!!! Missing any kind of screw or little things that could have come with it?? There's a few good chunks missing-well in the box bt broken off--I think with some good wood glue I can put it back without anyone noticing that-Im so crunched for time I doubt I will put it together until next weekend?? Unless I can swindle my DH to help tonight if I PROMISE to help with all our stuff bigtime for the next week!!!

I have had each shipment insured for $200 so please if any arrive ammaged and you would like to make a claim with UPS let me know.

As for getting more, or not I am still on the fence. My sister reminded me that I have little income and that if possibe I should sell them to help support myself. She is right so for now I will be keeping my supplier info to myself (I worked very hard to get the connections I have) and will let people know if I am going to do it again.

more went out today for those expecting.
