I'm not sure if my coop has enough ventilation. It only has one large window. I was thinking about putting a few more wholes but not sure if needed or were to put them.

[/Q i would put one on the wall opposite the first one so that you would get some cross breezes. nice coop

Hi! I'm not an expert... as I'm fairly new to chickens myself, but I've done looootttssss of reading. So I can try to weigh in and maybe help get a convo going!

I think adding at least one more window would be really good for air flow. You want air movement when it's hot and ventilation to help the hot air and any gasses leave the coop. I added windows to my back coop doors and get a great cross breeze now which has lowered the temp of my coop quite a bit and it feels less stagnant inside.

One idea would be to raise the roof a few inches, then use that opening to provide high ventilation all the way around the coop. The roof should help provide climate protection for those vents, if needed, you can add buffers all the way around to keep rain from blowing in.

I drilled two large whole in the top but since have started leaving the coop door open all night because there run is predator safe. Or so I hope they have been out for 6 weeks no issues as of yet.
