In my experience, marans have faster comb development than some breeds. However, to my eye, I’m seeing two, possibly three cockerels based on these photos. Let’s see what others have to say!
We are thinking the same. Thank youIn my experience, marans have faster comb development than some breeds. However, to my eye, I’m seeing two, possibly three cockerels based on these photos. Let’s see what others have to say!
That's what I thought too. That's a lot of comb on chicks this age. The chick on the right is noticeably lacking comb in comparison, which makes me think pullet. But I am no expert.First pic...I'm guessing all 3 on left are cockerels.
At 2 weeks old, a lot could change with the chick on right. Could be just a slower developing cockerel. That's what I thought too. That's a lot of comb on chicks this age. The chick on the right is noticeably lacking comb in comparison, which makes me think pullet. But I am no expert.
Same guess for now, that's a lot of comb for their age.First pic...I'm guessing all 3 on left are cockerels.
Thank youWow! With combs like that at two weeks I see two definite cockerels, one probable cockerel, and one pullet. Update weekly!
