Y’all Dorothy is SO spoiled. I learned today that if I make her mash into small clumps for her she can pick it up easier…well I sat there the whole time she ate and made little clumps for her. When she was out of clumps and needed more she would walk over to my hand and stare at it 🤣🤣🤣

Y’all my girls are SO bad. I blocked off the nesting boxes because they were sleeping in them. I just used plastic chicken fencing. Well…these stinkers found their way around and have been sleeping in there again 🤣
I placed Dorothy on the roosting bar tonight (I’ve done this before and they immediately jump down) but she stayed tonight and I’m hoping that the others will follow her lead 🤞🏼

Aw those naughty girls! I think they'll follow suit - in my experience they can act like young children sometimes; if one of them has got something new and appealing (e.g. a new roosting spot) the rest just have to get their claws on it too. 🤣

I’m hoping! Although when I went to check on them tonight all of them were in the nesting boxes again 🤣😅 I did put Dorothy back on the roosting bar and she stayed again so we shall see!
My husband is going to find a new way to block off the boxes and then if I need to I will place them all on the roosting bar after dark 😑

When mine decided to sleep in the nesting boxes moving them to the roost after dark worked well. Except for Hannah who came back off the roost despite the dark. She's better, now.
