Trunkster...love your mother clucker coop. I noticed you built your run and kept a tree inside. I'd like to do the same to my future girls could use the tree for shade. In Texas, I need all the shade opportunities I can get. But I hadn't found a good predator solution for the roof. How did you close in your run roof without making weaknesses in security?

I've added another picture showing the roof from the underside if you'd like to take another look. I framed around the tree leaving space for future growth but that space is covered in wire which will either flex as the tree grows or the tree will grow into it. It's perfectly secure from any predators unless they can fit inside a 1" hole. Here's my link.
