The only function for the switch as I understand is to turn the coopdoor on and off.

If I recall correctly, you are not getting power past the switch???The only function for the switch as I understand is to turn the coopdoor on and off.
The lights look normal like they should during daylight and we can switch from the dusk to dawn setting to manually open and close the door but when we switch back to dusk/dawn setting (and yes we reset everything eg. unhook the solar panel) it will not close the door (we programmed a 20min delay for late chicken) and it the morning all lights are off. Those will come back on with a Reset.
According to the manual both fuses in the switch are for 120 VAC; one is a spare. Two wires carry 120VAC from the switch to the DC power supply where it is converted to 15 volts DC. There's not a DC fuse in the switch.
Ok this explains the fuses in the switch, only one fuse is used for AC so the switch may be ok.
JT[/QUOTEjunebug this is the new manual according to my manual there are 2 fuses. 1 for ac and 1 for dc

The door will open and close with the battery however during the night (or when it is overcast/ rainy) the battery will drain for unknown reasons. We never got the door to work with AC
