HI!!
In addition to my Copper Black Marans, I have Copper Blue Marans.
All of my breeds are separated into thier own pen and are free to roam in and out of thier pen as pleased. Copper Black and Copper Blue are in 2 seprate pens. Mixing never occurs.
They too have been laying since August 2008. Their egg color was a 5-6 when they started laying. Their egg color has reduced since. I also breed to the French Standard.
Like their Copper Black Neighbors they have been fantastic layers through out this cold weather. Exelent forages and are real friendly.
I am taking 2009 eggs orders.
NOTE: Breed a Blue with a Blue, you will get 25 % Black, 25 % Splash, and 50% Blue......It's the Blue gene law.
Thank You.
PS: I will also have chicks in March.
