Copper Morans?

We got 13 hens last June, the man we got the chicks from did not let us know the breeds, so we have been trying to solve the mystery. We have two black hens with copper colored fleck around the neck and chest, dark legs and eyes. After looking thru the breed photos on this website I deciced we must have two Copper Morans. Our hens started laying the first of October and we are now up to 10 eggs a day (very proud of our girls). Here's my question. We are getting 2 green eggs a day (from our two ees) and the rest of the eggs are different shades of light brown. Do all morans lay dark brown eggs and is there another breed that is black with copper flecks? I would post photos but I haven't posted enough to be able to.

Yes, they sound like BSLs, and if they are you have some great layers! Mine are the most reliable layers I have.

I have Black copper marans and black sex links they can look very much the same. BCMs usually have feathered legs.
