I am have always had birds (parrots) as pets and wanted chickens. I have recently moved to an area that allows then and I have the room!
After much online research, I purchased Blue Laced Wyandotts, Cuckoo Marans, Golden Sex Link, Easter Eggers and Barnevelders. They are currently 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 weeks old in a brooder.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to information share.

Welcome! Say hi on the Texas thread in the "where are you?" part of the social forums. I'm in Saginaw, a little town at the north end of Fort Worth. So glad you're getting to try chickens. Saginaw just allowed them a year ago, I spent a year doing research and now we finally have our babies in a brooder. Laced Wyandottes are so pretty!
