Corid not working - water 7 days and then feed for 14 days

I lost a hen and then saw another one getting lethargic. I did the fecal test at local vet and it was coccidiosis positive. I treated for 7 days with Corid 9.6 in the water and still saw red in the poo of the sick chicken so I then treated for 14 days in the feed like oatmeal and the water since it isn't very hot right now. Still seeing red in the sick (not so sick acting any more) hen's poo so tested again - they said less number but still present and positive for coccidiosis. If Corid is NOT working, what can I do? And if it isn't working on the "sick" one does that mean she is done for (even though there is improvement) or that I should do orally? If orally, what is the dosage to apply by mouth? Should I do to all 4 just in case? Or just orally to the "sick" one and in the water to the 3 that don't have red in their poo? Thanks so much!

Are you aware that often there is a secondary bacterial infection with coccidiosis? It's called necrotic enteritis. This is when the coccidia irritate the intestinal lining to the extent that bacteria colonize the intestines, and this is where the blood is coming from.

Okay, I ordered that but they still tested positive for coccidiosis so isn't that what Corid is supposed to treat? Or does this secondary come up as coccidiosis in the fecal test too? I'm asking do I still have to treat again with Corid or just with this Sulfa mix when it gets here? Thanks!

There are 9 types of cocci that chickens can get. Most types respond to corid treatment. An antibiotic such as a sulfa drug is needed to treat two types; Eimeria Tenella and Eimeria Necatrix. One of these or both might be causing your birds sickness/bloody feces.
Do not use the corid again, only the sulfa drug. Treat all your birds.
Ensure feeders and waterers are feces free and sanitized.
Coccidia will always be present on microscopic slides. However when the slide is loaded with protozoa, that's when there's a problem and treatment is needed.
Until you get the sulfa drug you ordered, give your birds buttermilk mixed with plain boiled white rice, make it liquidy with the buttermilk. You can add feed to it after the first day if you wish, but keep it liquidy. The buttermilk will coat the intestinal lining to help slow further damage. It is also an excellent probiotic which will help build up the immune system. The white rice will help build strength and settle their guts.
Once you get the sulfa drug, discontinue the buttermilk and rice. Follow the directions as instructed on the package.

Great news! Got the Fecal check back today. The sulfa drug worked to get rid of the coccidiosis (after the Corid) - so do you always treat with Corid and the Sulfa or take turns (if it ever happens again I want to do it right the first time)
Strike III (natural wormer) worked for the thread/round worms but now they found 2 capillaria eggs, what is the best treatment for that? Vet said SafeGuard but he doesn't know dosage - cat/dog vet but he checks chicken fecal for me.
What is a daily treatment to keep them free of the worms since all this rain with hills on both sides must be washing this stuff down into the one acre valley they free range on? Lots of earth worms!

Durvet Strike lll is no longer a true wormer. Strike lll used to contain Hygromycin B, the active ingredient that killed worms. It was taken off the market by the FDA due to the Hygromycin B.
It was later reintroduced again as a natural wormer. The current ingredients in Strike lll are ineffective in treating worms. You can check the ingredients on the package and you wont see Hygomycin B. This is why there are capillary eggs are present in feces.
Safeguard liquid goat wormer dosage is 0.23ml per pound given orally for 5 days straight.
You can use Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer. Dosage is 1/2cc given orally. Repeat again in 10 days.
