corid not working?????

last week my chicks had blood in there droppings i started them on corid the very next day and it cleared up. i stoped the corid saturday and on sunday evening they were passing blood agian so i started them on corid agian. this time its not clearing up. and one chick is a little lathargic. i went to get the goat dewormer out and found a bottel of sulmet

i had no idea i had sulmet. i wish i knew that i could have started them on it that night and i probably wouldn't have lost two chicks waiting for the feed store to open. should i stop the corid and try the sulmet?

Corid never worked for me either. Same thing too... bird recovered and got sick again when I stopped treatment. The relapse was worse too. Depending on the cocci species, certain coccidiostats will not work. Try Dimethox, it works well for me.

Might be better to switch to starter crumbles containing Amprollium...
