Maybe I’m just stupid.... but I’m pretty positive you can’t breed chickens and quail together.....

Viable chicken-coturnix hybrids have been produced many times through artificial insemination in labs for genetic research, but have a fertility rate of 1 in a thousand eggs. I would imagine a chicken breeding quail would have even less success, and you’d just end up with hurt quail.
