I wonder if it is OK to pair corinex quail hens with an Old English Country male? The roo is about 3 times the size of the hen. He is a beautiful bird with colorful plumage.

Thanks for the help. They might fight. Quail seem to be rather exclusive on staying with just their species
I don't have a pic of roo, he is about 3-4 times as big as the quail hens.Could you post pictures of both birds? Is your roo an English white? If so, they're both coturnix. One roo should have 3-5 hens, but I'd be careful of putting a hen in with a roo that's so much larger. Roos are normally smaller than hens.
Can you get a pic? I'm getting no results googling what you said he was, and male coturnix are almost always at least the same size, if not far smaller than femalesI don't have a pic of roo, he is about 3-4 times as big as the quail hens.
That really doesn't sound right. Coturnix roos are normally smaller than the hens. Are you sure your hen isn't a button?I don't have a pic of roo, he is about 3-4 times as big as the quail hens.
Thanks. The roo is too big, I agree. If you mean an Old English (game) bantam, your rooster is a small chicken. Probably not a great idea to put them together.
