I have 4 10 week chicks and am wondering on whether feeding them corn in the mornings is a good thing as I know it really warms them up? Up until now I've been feeding them a handful of corn in the mornings when I go up but now I'm questioning it. They are still on chick crumbs, which is in their feeder throughout the day, I'm slowly changing them onto growers pellets.

Also things like yoghurt I've heard can be fed and they adore it, does the yoghurt type matter? Anything they prefer?

And the treats - best to give in the afternoon also?

I don't give straight cracked corn in the summertime. I switch them to scratch grains, which has some corn in it but also other grains. Right now in the miserable heat we are having I am not giving any corn at all.
The best yogurt to give is plain, low fat yogurt. You'll find its more convenient in that it's sold in larger containers. I feel the flavored yogurts have too much sugar and/or artificial sweeteners in them anyhow.
I wouldn't think there's a best time to give them a treat. In the wintertime I give them a warm treat like corn mash late in the evening to help them stay warm.
Right now I spread the treats out throughout the day, but do avoid giving them in the afternoon when the day is hottest only because I want them to stay cool and calm, not have a feeding frenzy.
ETA: When you first feed yogurt (or any treat really) you may find that they are afraid of it. That's normal. Chickens are afraid of anything new. Just leave the bowl with them. Sooner or later someone will get brave and try it.
