Always looking for something new to feed the girls and came upon the posts about corn on the cob and was wondering if it needed to be cooked first or raw would be better. We do not free range our chickens because of the dogs and cats and there isn't any grass here, so I have been feeding them morning and before bedtime. Tomatoes and other greens they love and now perhaps the corn.

You can feed it either way. We give ours the cobs to pick clean after we eat it ourselves and any wormy ones uncooked, and any extra cooked ones, which actually don't exist except for when we are freezing some.
