We got ALOT of cornish bantams and they are heavy little birds. I was curious at what age can they be butchered for meat? Thanks!

Can you post a pic? I've never heard of a Cornish Bantam. We got ALOT of cornish bantams and they are heavy little birds. I was curious at what age can they be butchered for meat? Thanks!
Nicely said.Any chicken of any age or sex can be butchered and eaten. Some cultures will even eat a chick just before it hatches, ever heard of balut? People eat quail, they may not know how old they are and there certainly isn't much meat there. The things that vary are how much meat you get and how you should cook them. The older they are the lower you generally need to cook and the more moisture you.
Your question was "at what age can they be butchered for meat?" The answer is any age. If you can tell us their age we might be able to tell you how we'd cook them.
