cornish cross chick - too heavy to walk - what to do?

Well, i guess it is unanimous, and will have to do the deed.

i didn't think about the meat being bruised, but it makes sense, that the chick just rolling around, and stumbling to the feeder would bruise it.

We have some family coming in this weekend to wrap and divide steer meat from the butcher, so will be a good time to dispatch the chicken too.
