I have too many mottled cochin cockerals this year and nighbor told me to process them. I told him I told him I didn't think there would be much meat on them and thought it should be kind of like cornish game hen.

Does anyone have any experience with this??
Just 1 Silkie so far. I had planned to feed him to the dogs, but ended up making soup instead. I thought it was enough meat to be worth it and will process all our excess bantams from now on.
I haven't had a real cornish game hen, just the storebought kind and it's been awhile, but if not for the coloring, that's what I would have thought the carcass was.
I have eaten plenty of bantys. Scrawny little things... just cook them long, wet and slow untill the meat falls off the bones, makes great stock, debone, then make anything that you want with the meat. Surprising amount of meat comes from the carcass.
