I hear ya Hellbender. It seems the "Dog of the house" always feels it's duty is to protect the birds. Or purge them from the property depending on the day...... My Rot loves to watch the cornish chicks in the brooder for hrs on end..... When free ranging the urge to herd them is sometimes too much to resist. Could you elaborate on personal protection dog?
. Here's some of my Cornish, four months old now. They seem kind of small especially the hens. They were off to a great start as young chicks but seem to be growing very slowly. Do they just get broader after a while, or are they supposed to grow taller still? But, they are pretty heavy for their size. That's a Buckeye cockerel photo bombing the bottom picture. Dave C, if you can, please post some pictures. It would be very interesting to see how British Cornish compare to our North American ones.
