Cornish x (about 4 weeks) roo?

Pretty positive our Cornish x that we named Cotton is a roo. S/he has a MUCH larger and redder comb than all the other chicks we have. They're only about 4 weeks old so we think Cotton may for sure be a boy. S/he has also got their feathers in a lot slower than everyone else. (this is our only Cornish x chick so we can't compare them to each other when it comes to that). Don't see any obvious wattles though

It's a little to early to tell but it looks like a pullet

may I ask why you say pullet, that would be great, but we thought with the slow feathering, thick legs, and red comb maybe roo

It's a cockerel. Are you sure it's a Cornish X? It looks a little small for 4 weeks, given that they are usually butchered at 8 weeks.

I agree. The pictures are at hard angles to tell, but it doesn't seem so large compared to the others. I would expect him/her to be much larger than the others.

Maybe OP is controlling it's feed and planning to keep it as a pet?

we do plan on trying to keep him as a pet and are controlling his feed some what. He is the same size as the Buff Orp but bigger than the other three
