cornish x ( has anybody had this)

well here it goes. i have 10 cornish x chickens. i pen and run them with a free range 2-3 hours a day.
they are not fat and lazy they act like regular chickens. they are 4 weeks old and on 20% feed . the feathers are white and fluffy. they are doing well. this is my first batch. i am happy so far. i do raise with 5 RIR, 6 EE,and 3 BSL all around the same age.
now for the strange part. i have a cornish x with 1 black feather and she is a faker. i check my flock 2 times a day. i noticed the faker had a very hard crop and was lethargic. i took her in the house and gave her veg. oil and rubbed her crop to break up the food stuck in the crop. she then pooped of course. i held her for a while petted her and just loved her up. she feel asleep . after short time i put her back to the pen. when i went back out to free range the chicks she was just lying around. i chased her out of the pen to get activity.
she just laid down. looking sickly i of course picked her up and loved her up. i was going to take her in the house and give her tlc , however when all the chicks got back to the pen i put down some scratch and meal worms. then my sick chick had a instant recovery. she went to town on the scratch and worms and ran to the water bowl and drank. this why she is she is called the faker.

I've got a duck who will fake lameness. If she doesn't get any attention, she jumps up and runs off.

Cornish Cross can have lovely natures if you take the time to pay attention to them. Most people, including me, are careful to not notice individuals.

I did have a neighbor once time get attached to a Cornish Cross hen in my batch of meaties. The neighbor begged for her life, so i let her live. She was a lovely chicken. Very calm and sociable. Also very huge and clumsy. But you couldn't argue with her personality, which was adorable.

Better to not single one out if you plan to eat them.

i agree don't single out any of the chickens. i found out i became attached to this little hen, i made the mistake by giving her the name faker. she waits for me at the pen door. when i show up she talks to me. i don;t know how i am going to butcher her. hummm !

I've had two batches in a row now with one cornish that has the one black feather. Something from the lineage I guess?

I have a Cornish X with about 5 black feathers. Looks like there are probably four on her back and one on the top of her head. Other than that she looks and acts like all the others. (They're 6 weeks old, I'm pretty sure this one is a hen.)

I see about 30,000 cornishx chicks a week.black feathers are common.Even have seen a pure black

where do you see that many? how do i get some more . i like raising these birds.i free range them along with 20% feed, worms.scratch and scraps from dinner.
