Hello everyone!

I ordered 25 chicks from Welps hatchery and they are 4 1/2 weeks old now. Here are some pictures of them from 1-2 days old to 4 weeks. (I thought I took pictures at 3 weeks, but can't find them right now.) I thought you might want to see their size progression.

Here they are at 1 week 4 days:

I ordered all roosters, but I think there are a couple of hens in the mix. They sent 27 and so far all are alive and well. Most weighed in the 2 1/2 range at 4 weeks.

They do get ugly as they grow.

MY OH MY THOSE ARE HUGE! that is insane! what breeds of chickens make a cornish cross anyways? good eaten!

They're a cross between a White Rock and a White Cornish, I think. I am really happy with the way they are growing. I have to carry a napkin around when I visit them to catch the drool. LOL

I can taste it myself, you got your chicken stew, chicken and dumplins, chicken nuggets, your chicken fingers, fried chicken, baked chicken, roasted chicken, you got your rotissere chicken, chicken pot pie, chicken gumbo, chicken jambalya......etc

I posted photos yesterday of the jumbo cornish x that I got from McMurray. I ordered 25. They shipped 27. I'll be watching your posts to keep an idea of how mine will develop.
