My Sussex arrived from Justin of BluePoultry this morning. They are Coronation Split Sussex. He was a pleasure to buy from and they arrived very healthy.

These breeders will sell you light sussex split for coronation (just like the lav/split birds). It takes a generation before you get any actual coronation. That way they can keep selling for the big $$, and you have to wait before you sell any yourself.

These are the parent flock to my pair. Roo is a Coronation and Hen is Light Sussex. I knew it would take time to get the Coronation, but you have to start somewhere with what you can afford to get.

Oh mamawolf, I was stressing when I got there. Everyone at the PO thought they didn't make it! Not a sound one. The Postmaster kept tapping on the box and talking to them as I was signing all the paperwork. Finally a little chirp............ She was just as excited as I was to hear them.

The weather got really bad here, snowing, raining and cold!

But, Justin did a great job shipping and they are really nice healthy birds.

Justin also sells Coronation pairs, I just could not afford them right now. So, I went with the split. His Coronation pairs are also a really good price at $500, but I just couldn't swing that right now, with Christmas coming up.

Justin is a very nice guy and answers all of your questions. I know I had a ton of questions, but he always got back to me very quickly. Great Person!

He has very nice birds too.

Thanks, I am very pleased with my pair.
