Missing three chickens. Was 5 but found two. Also found a super long feather trail from one of them, tons of feathers, in the yard, as well as a smaller pile of feathers in the woods from another one, so pretty sure those two and I’m sure the third are dead. still holding out hope though but it’s not looking good. I walked all over calling and found two. So the others should have come out by now. Thinking maybe pack of coyotes? We saw a huge one yesterday. Or fox. Or hawk? But hawk wouldn’t have taken three? Not sure what leaves giant super long feather trails though or piles. Last night I was just thinking Jack had too many girls to cover.

Yes I think so too!! No more free ranging for a while. They’ve been ranging too far lately. Although one pile was right behind the coop. But definitely gonna be locking them up for a while. We heard coyotes last night but they have never been interested in the chickens before.

And I know it’s probably crazy and not true but I feel like I jinxed them.

Thank you!! Definitely will do. They won’t be happy about it but it’s necessary. Definitely going to set up my trail cams too. Was going to earlier but discovered some of the brand new batteries that came with it are corroded.

Thanks to all you quitting driving and all the businesses closed, global warming cancelled, we now have a polar vortex snow storm and 6-12" inches of snow, record low temperatures, in May.....
