It's the "It won't happen to me." attitude, and everyone else be damned.

I’m glad my husband has been very cautious at work and doing what he can to keep himself safe. He tells everyone to stay 6 feet away or he will back up from them.

Some guy that just started at his work yesterday grabbed one of the customers phones from outside and put it to his face and started talking to the guys boss. Then walked inside the locked warehouse with it... My husband told him that not allowed (he’s the manager of the warehouse) The guy had the guts to tell him “Now is not the time to worry about that!” My poor husband probably wanted to smash the phone on the ground He made him leave until he was done on the phone. Swear people just don’t think!

That's EXACTLY how it passed around the NBA. A player didn't think it was a big deal and went around and touched his teammate's lockers, reporter mics, etc... he was Covid positive. He gave it to several other people by messing around like that.

Grr. I think I'd snap that person's pic and tell them I'm calling the police and charging them with assault. I'm afraid I'm not a very nice person.

Not sure an assault charge would fly since you’re not hurt in the process of them touching you.

Think the police have better things to do like keeping drug dealers and true criminals off the streets.

It's assault to spit at people or bite them because you can give them hepatitis or HIV-AIDS. I don't see why this would be any different, especially since you could be infectious and not know it.

Spitting on someone is different than playfully touching someone and acting immature.

That’s a write up at a company not an assault charge that wouldn’t go through the court system.

It might be different now with this pandemic though. If they really wanted to be hardasses they could probably say he was intentionally spreading a contagion or whatever and charge him with that. They probably wouldn’t though because you’re right, it’d be a bit of a waste of time especially if it was already being handled, but they probably could. Several people have been charged just for spitting or coughing on produce when that never even would have been a thing before.

You would have to ask a person I think 3 times to stop touching you and you can get them for harassment but not assault since there’s no harm done (technically)

I think there’s people who overreact way too much and people who don’t react enough. I believe it’s healthy to be in the middle of those two.

That’s what they said in an article. But who really knows. I’m not an overly crazy germ freak. I just stay home and do what I’ve always done. I don’t go out of my way and not touch boxes and stuff. I just wash my hands after. Soap and water have always been a good friend of mine even before any of this happened.
