Oh she will love it! I like it better this way because the flavor is a POW in your mouth unlike watermelon fresh where it’s not as sweet.

I need to hide it because my husband will eat it all. Told him I need more watermelon at the market because we need a winter supply of this 😂
I've never had a POW... what does a Picture of the Week taste like?

Well, I've picked my pottery wheel, my thermometer, and my clay. All that's left is to build the kiln and start practicing forever and ever. So now I need proper bricks to build the outer layers of the kiln and some refractory mortar.

I'm thinking this is a good time to start cleaning some bricks. Just chill outside, watch the chickens, wash some bricks. Might be a nice, quiet time. I think this whole project will be a lucrative hobby and time killer during the pandemic.

It's not like I'm spending the spending money in my budget on anything else right now....

I already dehydrated all my tomatoes 😂 that’s why I had to buy some at my favorite farm stand. She always gives me extra free stuff. She knows we have chickens too. They ate cantaloupe rinds after dinner and I’m giving them the watermelon rinds tomorrow.
I was sitting here thinking what the heck was I thinking of dehydrating....? I've done some stuff, wish I had, maybe someday a solar dehydrator.
It was zucchini, ever dehydrate zucchini or anyone else? Kinda wondering how it would turn out for soups.

the one near Deposit?? we went there 2 weekends ago for a road trip, and thought it was great. but my potatoes in a bag were half rotten when I got home. I liked the local farm notices though--didn
t seem like a tourist trap
Might be same place, Bainbridge, Frog Pond Farm. Place used to be pretty awesome. Still a good place to buy in bulk for certain stuff. Your complaint I've heard from many and experienced it ourselves.
Told DW can those peaches quick, seems like everytime we go there we get fruit flies.
Yrs ago when they were small was great. It was around 2008 they went downhill with the high gas prices were making fewer trips for fresh produce and I think they just continued it. The biggest draw for the place was the dad, how he just said all the prices and told you the total like a auctioneer all in his head. He came down with cancer few yrs back. His son that runs the place now wasn't that good at it. I will say he did pretty good when we were there the other day. Pretty neat listening to him all the people in front of us, don't matter how much stuff you have rambles on all the prices and tells you the total, grabs the cash and puts it in the lock box, no cash register.

Excellent! I dry a little bit of everything specifically for soups.

yes Bainbridge--we are 1 1/2 hrs away and it was recommended by a friend. Our gardens hadn't yielded anything yet, and their corn was great. The check out was an experience! we would go back---it's a nice drive and the donut shack was a hit too!

No I never did zucchini. I ripped my zucchini plants out.
