Not trying to start an argument but being overweight isn’t harming the general population. It’s in no way making people around that person sick.
Being overweight is one of the issues that they have said makes the symptoms worse. Anyone who is out of shape and or overweight has a set of lungs that work harder than someone who isn’t out of shape or overweight.

......They do that to disabled people WITHOUT a pandemic or laws. Why do you think we have the ADA now?

But these cases have been tried in courts for literally *100 years*. I have shown documented American legal precedent where mask mandates were upheld to the point of arrests of fines. You keep saying it's not legal when it was literally made legal 100 years ago. Can you show me where they've been struck down? Or what SPECIFIC legal ruling makes them unlawful?

..............What do you think laws are? Why do you think they exist?
Did you not read where I just said I have not one but two disabled brothers? I know all about the ADA. I don’t need you to teach me anything because unlike you I am able to make the best decisions for my family and take care of everything.

Since the original intent of the thread was how COVID has affected our lives— I am around people almost everyday. I have to take that risk daily. I wish that people would wear masks properly. If you’re gonna wear it below your nose you may as well not wear it at all. You CAN breathe. I wear one for 8+ hours during the week. I’m fine. The mask is to protect OTHERS. It helps keep your germs from getting to others. Imagine getting a serious surgery and your surgeon doesn’t glove up or sanitize, or wear a mask- you’re exposed to all germs & can get really sick/die... Just a real pre-COVID example of why we take health precautions. :)

Please use proper logic. An overweight person doesn’t make hundreds / thousands of people sick. :)

Oh! There it is! There's the 'ol "I've got mine and you should get sick and die because you're poor" rhetoric. I love it.

Since you're so well off how about those bills now? Do you prefer paypal or venmo or cashapp? XD :lau:lau:lau Sounds like you can afford it!

People wearing a mask under their nose is just stupid. I agree. I see it all the time.
So is keeping yourself in shape, at a healthy weight and eating properly. There’s a lot of things people can do to help themselves.

I’m using proper logic. What didn’t you understand? Reread what I posted the symptoms are worse with just about any cold, flu or coronavirus if your carrying extra weight.

I did read it. Maybe if that overweight person and the people around them took proper precautions then they wouldn’t have gotten Covid in the first place.

That’s not the point. The point is you’re playing the “woe is me card” and expect everyone to give up what they have worked their whole lives for to protect people who either haven’t, are unhealthy by poor choices or to prevent people who are elderly from getting sick. That’s insane. Some might argue the elderly have already made it to 70 so now the 30 and 40 somethings should just stay home and do nothing while they lose everything? Not likely.
