I wonder how come nobody minded each others germs until Covid? There have been thousands of communicable diseases out there before Covid but nobody was wearing masks until now. Makes me wonder

Approaching 11 years here at BYC and until this thread have only 'ignored' 3 people - none of whom are still active. The 'Ignore' button has gotten a work out on this thread. My one question is why don't the 'patriots'/hoaxers/anti vaxers start a thread of their own and leave us alone.

Because covid-19 is a novel virus that has never been dealt with by our immune systems before and it's killing people in large numbers.

Those other thousands of communicable diseases out there are recognized by our immune systems and most of us have antibodies to fight them off. Not so for covid-19.

But in any case. I will remind people there actually are bodies in the streets in LA. Patients are no longer being transported to the hospital, they're dying in their homes. And regulations on air pollution have been lifted so they can burn the bodies fast enough. Just because we have trucks and crematoriums instead of wheelbarrows and bonfires doesn't make it less real. The more populous your area the worse it is.

Every doctor I know has told me to get the vaccine. Studies show it's almost as effective against the new strain as the old because it's an mRNA vaccine.

But in any case, the Byc staff has asked that if you think it's not serious and you think it's just a flu that you not post.

LOL scared ? I carry a gun for many reasons and scared ain't one of them. If you live in fear because it don't wear a mask i got news for you. They don't do a thing to stop this virus.

If you need to protect yourself from the flu do so. but you cant put your fear of getting it on me as nothing you or i di will change a thing. This flu can not be stopped so quit it already. Get your shot and mask but leave me alone. I do not have the flu or carry it. Do you have proof that i do? Due process please.

Because this is a BYC thread about covid and our lives and ways to cope. Its a public discussion. We are not doing anything to you by having free opinions. Why can’t or shouldn’t anyone on BYC not be free to post on an open discussion about Rona? Some people like naked neck chickens and some think they are disgusting. Some people see mask mandates and such as gov overreach some see it as essential for public health. I don’t hate anybody for thinking differently. Some people seem to be able to handle an alternative view and some scramble to swat down anything but thier preferred narrative. I get it. People are passionate.
