People have a right to hear both sides, the pros and cons of any treatment before making a health decision. Its protocol for informed consent, so the fact the only the pros are being pushed on the vaccines and the cons are being silenced is very frightening from a medical professional point of view. We would never do that in Healthcare with anything else
Wha ....?

We've been talking about the cons of the vaccine for the past hour on this thread, all because of 3 or 4 news articles and also information from the CDC. How is that "cons are being silenced"? What are you scared of? All the information is available.

The cons have been talked about and you've negated every one as if it weren't true so that's what I'm talking about. I'm well informed I work with these patients every day. The better question is what are you scared of??

We have a personal friends and family of people on this thread that have and are having serious side effects. Paralyzation, cardiac events, excruciating pain, etc. This is from a relatively small samples. Sure most seem to be ok post vax but it’s certainly not this benign, right of passage with only the tiniest risk of anything detrimental that many pass it off as. There are real risks to this rushed experimental vaccine. What are the long term risks? Well we shall see. Millions have signed up to be experimented on. I hope it goes well for all of the ones who take it.

Okay, so first of all, here is what you wrote: Its protocol for informed consent, so the fact the only the pros are being pushed on the vaccines and the cons are being silenced is very frightening from a medical professional point of view. We would never do that in Healthcare with anything else

You are talking about informed consent, which occurs in a medical setting. You said it is a FACT that ONLY the pros are being pushed ... and cons are being silenced .... frightening from a medical point of view and would never happen in HEALTHCARE with anything else.

Now you are complaining that some on this forum disagree that the fainting is a side effect of the vaccine (based on science and findings from the cdc and the fact that fainting from fear of needles occurs with ALL vaccines). This forum is not a medical context. People have opinions here, I'm sure that's not news to you. Just because I disagree with you on a chicken forum doesn't mean information that is negative about covid vaccines is being "silenced" in a medical context FFS.

What am I scared of? I'm afraid that people prefer salacious headlines over facts and as a result are putting others at risk. Other than that, I'm not scared of anything. I'm perfectly happy with the medical community's response to the pandemic.

How can one intentionally misunderstand something? My point is that you compared the safety of the vaccine to the safety if driving to the site. I am telling you that I think you made up a comprison to make the vaccine sound as safe as a drive to get a vaccine. Correct?
You are entitled to the opinion that I made it up, even if it is incorrect. I used the car metric to further illustrate my belief that the 1% rate of adverse reactions given by your source is not worthy of any sort of fear. I again restate my point that we both seem to have the same view on events with this amount of likelihood.

As for feeling like your views are being silenced, I’m not sure what to suggest other than to not post them if you cannot accept the criticism. People absolutely have a right to hear both “sides”, which is why those who have disagreed with you have voiced their thoughts, and why you are free to continue posting them.
My repeated engagement in this thread in the past day is not driven by any sort of foolish desire to change your mind, but instead the hope that when someone else comes and reads some of the sources that have been linked, they are presented with ALL the facts. I cannot speak for others, but I reckon this is a shared mindset. Many of the claims that have been posted were refuted by myself or others using evidence or statements from those same articles, with the exception of my notorious car statistic. Refuting the claim you made based on your interpretation of an article using facts from that same article hardly constitutes silencing of views.
You have not been silenced, merely disagreed with, which is far less sinister.

When I refer to cons being silenced I'm speaking of a much broader area than this forum obviously. People are much smarter than your giving them credit for. They are able to sort through ALL information despite what you think and make informed decisions for themselves. They dont need you or anyone else sensoring their information for them.
