I don't go dr or dentist but still have a few , well four kids home still so do take them. Thinking back to that first dentist visit when they first were allowed by our government to see people and they said first kids they've seen... they charged me out of my pocket a xtra $6 said for PPE. Paid it a few times mentioned it to someone I work with they said for what? Don't they wear masks and wash sanitize/wear gloves anyway?
Yeah they already did!!
They don't charge it anymore.

Was just at dentist Mon, boy #5 kid, 8yrs old , ended up having a tooth pulled. About on the way out didn't look like they were caring about/giving us the tooth, so I said 'hey I bet he wants that tooth' assistant woman says no he doesn't want that tooth, so I think she's talking about the dentist, I say I mean him and point at the boy, assistant says I think the tooth fairy will understand, dentist says not happening covid...
Wow! Kid can't have his tooth you ripped from his mouth because of covid....
Boy put a kernel of Indian corn under his pillow must have fooled the tooth fairy cause still visited lol.

I love that about the tooth fairy. Makes sense she'd be fooled by the Indian corn, after all she works in the dark, right? Extra points for being a creative Dad!

Just found this thread. I wish I found it sooner. Covid was a catalyst to get chickens. I had chickens growing up. After getting married and finding a property that allowed some level of farm animals my wife was still on the fence. Then, Covid hit, the quarantine started and I worked from home with three kids 5 and under. I brought up the chickens once more soon after. I think my wife gave in only to have the ability to get eggs and sustain our family just in case. I’m thankful for Jesus Christ that it all worked out, since I was fervently praying that I wouldn’t get caught with my foot in my mouth after wanting chickens so badly and for such a long time. All in all, I worked from home, educated two kids, entertained one, built a coop and run, started an Instagram account called @farmin_armen to document it and used my chickens for therapy.

yes, sometimes I sit in the run with my banjo to play a few songs for the ladies.

I love my chickens and they have been so awesome during the pandemic.

However, the anti-vaxxer movement isn't all peaceful Clapton songs and Kum-Ba-Ya.

Has my life changed? Not really, other than I find the hoopla annoying.

If you want the vaccine, get it and leave me alone. If you don’t want the vaccine, don’t get it and leave me alone. I made my decision based on my health history and what I believe is the best decision for me. Because that’s the only decision I can make - my own. I don’t condemn or praise for whatever others decide for themselves. I expect the same courtesy.

I don’t go around people much and not at all if I’m ill. I don’t invade people’s personal space and I’ve always washed my hands so much that they’re ever on the verge of chapping.

I take responsibility for my choices. If I die (whether due to my choices or anything else), my affairs are in order. It’s what grown ups do in a free country.

(And, no, I haven’t skipped basic health monitoring or dental checks. If you read this far, I wish I could give you a lollipop. ... Pretend I did.)
