I agree with you. Right now, masks tend to be that visible indicator, at least in my area. There are signs up saying masks are only required/recommended for those not vaccinated. But guess what? I'm vaccinated but still mask in public. I get looks, like, What? Why aren't you vaccinated? I don't care. I know a lot of those unmasked people giving me that look are themselves possibly or probably not vaccinated. I don't judge them, and I can't stop them from judging me. Life goes on.

I don't think that is the case here. We have the same signs but I suspect that more of the mask wearers are vaccinated but still cautious. Usually us older folks who are at more risk of a bad outcome if we happen to be among those for whom the vaccine had little effect than younger ones whether vaccinated or not.

Those not masked in the grocery store are usually those in the 20-60 age group. That happens to be the age group with the vast majority of the current cases.

Not fear. Caution. I have said before that my DH and I are raising a grandson. If anything happens to us, he has no one else. Neither of us can finish raising him alone very easily. He is a freshman in HS with a brilliant intellect and deserves to go to college.. we need to take care of ourselves. Even vaccinated, we are not 100% protected. Like I said, judge me if you like, but you don't know me.
