It was based off statistics in the U.S. But there are sources that have done studies which show something very similar happening in Australia and other parts of the world.
The point is locking people in their houses does more harm than good. Anyone with a good eye can see that

Well, right now, the only people locked up are the people refusing to get vaccinated.

Darwinism in effect. I note far more mental health issues in those who have lost loved ones or are dealing with long haul effects.
