Well I think the crime rate is much higher with all this Covid going on. No, cops or government to stop it. Maybe (here anyways)if there was another murder in town they would consider getting out of their cars.

Crimes gotten bad out by us too. Shots fired in the mall and a double homicide not too far from me. Used to be rare around here. Cops mostly spend there whole shift at family express drinkong free coffee.

My brother lives in Louisiana as well. He said theres been protests and such. We have to be safe from more than just a virus it would seem...

New Orleans protests aren't quite like other cities. New Orleans protests are more like 5 or 6 hippies sitting by a stop sign beating drums. I really dont know what your brother is speaking of. Not saying it doesn’t happen but if it does its pretty low key. Nobody burning city blocks down

hmm I remember quite a few people saying that from the beginning. At some point even the die hard weenies can’t deny it. I’m just not quite sure when that point will come.

Well us taxpayers pay for all sorts of things for people that do to themselves. there are many illness that could be fixed by diet, exercise or not smoking.

He said he went to a bar down there and there was some BLM protesters going down the street. A black woman yelled at them "all you white folks shut up. " I thought it was a humorous story. He didnt say if they were causing problems. Just that they were loud and protesting. That kinda stuff dont happen around here. Its really scary to see it though and I pray it doesnt happen in my neck of the woods. Anyways if that story my brother told me offends anyone just let me know and I'll delete this post. I dont want to ruffle feathers

I truly attribute that to Mardi Gras. Your not going to get in each other's face all year just to find out you and your family is set up next to them on the Neutral Ground.
It's like any other big city, you just have to know where you are. In 40 years near the city and 20 years in the city, I've never been shot at or had to shoot anyone yet.

Matter of fact other than work i dont go anytime due to the rampant crime. The crime in the city is a whole other issue in and of itself
