How has covid changed my daily life? Well, after 2 years of wearing a mask - I don't think I can ever stop, I never realised how much i walk around with my mouth hanging open now and all the money saved from buying lipstick! Its almost the 'new normal' now, i never really thought about how disgusting public surfaces can be - like supermarket trolleys and the tube

I'm fortunate enough that my role was already half London based, half home - so the adjustment to WFH was pretty easy for me. We ended up moving out into the country (hence the chickens!) if anything, covid forced me to wake up and realise there is more to life than commuting 7 hours to an office, now I make time for gardening, my relationship and hobbies!

That is the gold lining to all of this.

A friend of mine has Covid.

She and I hung out on Thursday. No masks.

She tested positive on Friday, which I only found out today.
I've had no symptoms at all, but I am not allowed to go to school per exposure policy.
I believe that is way over the top.

If I had Covid, I'd have Covid.

Ah. I do agree with most of that. Some of it is definitely stupid.

I think we can all agree that the policies in place have been ineffective and hurt the economy. Businesses that could not adapt or afford to adapt were forced to close. Theres a lot that just feels unfair. Some might say down right wrong. It is quite frustrating especially if you feel like you have no voice. Thats why I like this thread.

I think cdc changed their guidelines that if you're asymptomatic you can return in 5 days. Are you at least allowed to do virtual learning?

I'm allowed to return Wednesday.
But I'm missing out on important labs, assignments and classes.
