For those who think 'IT' is over and done with, It's not. We just returned from a destination wedding in Hawaii. No masking in the airports, no masking on the planes, no masking at the wedding. Daughter and SIL both have symptomatic Covid - positive test results. The Princess and I have what appears to be a minor cold - some congestion and a lingering cough. We have not tested, but are masking and staying away from others.

So sorry! Hope everyone concerned is feeling better soon.
It's popping back up quite a bit here too. DH's company is discussing going back to masking.

You are right Sour! You may already know that every Medicare recipient can get 8 free Covid tests per month. Just call your pharmacy, they will pack some up for you and you can pick them up just like a prescription. We just found out so picked up our test kits today!

Truth!

My uncle returned from this years “senior Olympics” & even though his did very well in his field he came home with Covid is is really feeling crappy. My Aunt said that there were a lot of folks there, no real masking or social distancing. She says she doesn’t have any symptoms yet but, feels like she has a mild cold. She was planning on testing soon - just in case. Even though they live in the Village’s, she said that they had their back & recently had their boosters.

So, in the big picture I hope he survives. I expect them both to get well soon enough.

It’s so sad how this pandemic is appearing as though many people are acting like it’s such an inconvenience….. /two handed facepalm

It won't be "over" until it fully dies or mutates into something harmless. The only thing that's "over" is the sanctions which were deemed unconstitutional. Not sure how it is on the other side of the pond though. It still haunts me thinking how loved ones weren't able to even see their dying family members and elderly. I heard another treatment has been made available called paxlovid. Not a cure just a treatment but if we cured it we couldn't treat it which means less money...

And there was an article recently about rebound/relapse symptoms after taking paxlovid, so not sure it’s even doing what it’s intended to fully.

Definitely you need a different dentist!!!
All the other ones in the area either don't take our insurance or aren't taking new patients. Every place in this area is like this now. They want you in but rush you out. They said if I want it capped (which she said was pointless because it would fall off) I can't get in until August. She was different from the dentists I've seen there before. Idk if she's new or what. She also waited by the door for me to leave like a loss prevention officer. Overall a weird experience. She also negated her mask by showing me her own chipped teeth about 3 feet from my face
