Google is great for that, a lot easier now than before, dont have to pour through endless books trying to find what you need, makes it a lot easier YouTube also, nothing against books I used them for yrs. I'm a do it yourselfer, saved thousands with books, now internet. I have done everything possible with our vehicles, suspension ball joints tie rods etc, engines, transmissions, remove replace fix, YouTube vid available for any prob.

My sister is lactose intolerant, she grew up with goats milk. Many alternatives today.
We have five kids, youngest, only boy was born allergic to milk, not lactose intolerant, dairy destroyed his innards kinda like those allergic to gluten. Gastrointestinal specialist said even if we breastfed him if DW had any dairy, soy or hazelnut (all related to his allergy they said) he would have been allergic to her breast milk. So no dairy or soy formula, put him on a expensive formula, no good either cause it still had some broke down dairy that some babies are ok with, so new super expensive formula, $50 for a small can... Said our insurance should cover it, didn't and we have great insurance.. . First time we have ever used WIC. Luckily he outgrew it by four yrs or so.
When we found out it all looked in our cupboards, you would be shocked on how many labels contained soy. I know you can make a lot yourself but check your cupboard out on what contains soy, its about everything.
Beer we are a lot alike, though I still enjoy books very much. :p Rest assured I'm quite versed in youtube and internet searches. Taught myself basic plumbing, carpentry skills, home repair, cheese making, how to balance and use my compound slide miter saw correctly, tractor repair, and what kerf is and what it means when cutting items.

And FYI, people are not allergic to gluten, it's a different set of systemic reactions in allergies, but yes, some allergies are quite severe and damaging. My kiddo used to also need a super expensive special supplement and thank goodness for WIC. Because of a long list of allergies kiddo could not have any of the typical WIC food items, but they coved the supplement. It was a God send.

No hugs.

You are going to be fine.

Can you still buy Lysol in your neck of the woods?
We are backwoods here, no tp, no lysol, no alcohol, no anything to do with any of that. Did see paper towels so not as bad as some, and food fully stocked, a few bare shelves. We haven't went far but where we usually shop small city of Oneonta, haven't been there since this started, heard they are empty, Aldis actually closed. Not worried about all that , more worried about sick people. I'm on four tens and work Wed-Sat, so I get to wait for Wed to see if anything has changed at work.

Google lies. :old:old:old
You can NOT believe everything on the internet.
Everyone thinks that bloggers know everything.
This is not true.
I cannot even tell you the numbers of bloggers out there who tote themselves as the "All Knowers" when in fact they are actually the "All UNknowers"

That's the problem...people get a tiny bit of info in their brains then run around and spout off like they are experts and actually mislead or harm others with their...how shall I word this nicely... their "You just don't know what you just don't know-ness. " *sigh*

Stay away from the big city.
Eat your pet cow if you have too.
Do not go to the big city.

Covid19 is now in my town. No one is allowed on my property i have signs posted, i cant risk it mutating and my chickens catching this nasty virus. Stand strong everyone and quarantine your flock from outisiders, no telling how devistating a virus this harmful will be if it mutates to group 3 coronavirus and starts spreading in our poultry... again turn up temps in your chicken houses and put 1/2 strength powdered milk in waterers to treat a corona outbreak in your flocks

I don’t think milk and heaters would do anything to treat a virus?? In fact, may actually do more harm than good.
