I just looked up a very short statement about it. Looks interesting. My husband and I have said for years that we Never knew anyone in school, K-12 or college that had such an allergy. We also in 15 years of school, Never knew anyone with autism. We knew two students (each of us) that were "slow" and needed separate classes on most subjects and nice kids.
We were given our childhood shots/vaccinations But we did not get nearly the plethora that are "supposed" to be given to infants and young children today. The CDC states that we should get another measles (or was it mumps?) shot as the one we received prior to 1967, wasn't that good. At our age, we are not going to get another shot and the one today is not made according to our ethics/Faith. No problem with people who take any and/or all the shots offered, that is their choice But we the people, should be allowed to make our own decisions and Not told we cannot go to Church or the grocery without a shot that has not been proven and lies were told. My 1 cent on it. :)

We'll check out the book, thanks Nym
I didn't get the MMR shot, just the DPT and polio, early 1960s. But during my childhood I did get sick with chicken pox, measles, and rubella. A recent blood test at work confirmed that I still have those antibodies, 60 years later. Natural immunity is a wonderful thing.

It really shocked me when I went to the store during covid and saw all the panic buying. How do you not have at least two weeks worth of food in your house? And...for that matter...at least two weeks worth of toilet paper? I do go to the store at least once a week but it's usually because I need fresh produce
We have had ice storms where the power was out for at least 3 weeks. We stay well stocked. But I was amazed when I went to the store for fresh fruits/veg just 3 days after the storm and people were buying lots of soup and candles.

I guess they've never had friends that had Partylite candle parties.
I think I have a lifetime supply of assorted candles!

I do have a theory on the TP shortage. If mom and dad both work and the kids are in school then they are using the bathroom away from home for most of the day. Now everyone is home so they are using a lot more. Then the supply chain breaks down so not much being delivered to the store. There was also a shortage of yeast that you didn't hear much about because the jar factory in another country didn't have workers to make jars and people had time to bake and were baking more.

On the jab topic. I have an autoimmune disorder and discovered many years ago that flu vaccines really mess up my immunity. So I did not want to take a chance on a Covid shot. So far I have not had Covid and neither has my husband. I haven't had a cold or flu in almost 12 years.

One of my neighbors works for Moderna and told me that many people don't react well to influenza type shots and shouldn't get them. But they don't talk about it because it's bad for business.

I do know several people who had severe reactions to the Covid shots. Mostly myocarditis and blood clots. All of my Covid vaccinated friends still get Covid all the time so to me I don't see the point of it now that it's mutated down to a less lethal virus just like all viruses do. They also can't live if they kill the host.

I feel sorry for the people who still live their lives terrified of Covid.
The media loves a crisis. Then we find out the numbers were inflated. In CA people got money from the state for funerals if their family member died of Covid. Hospitals and nursing homes got more government money if they had a lot of covid patients.

On another forum a guy wrote in then his mom was in a nursing home while dying of cancer. When she passed as expected they had the cause of death as Covid. She had had Covid and recovered and passed right on schedule for her type of cancer.

So there was some sketchy stuff going on.

A woman in my local area fought tooth and nail to have the Covid 'death stamp' removed from her father's death certificate, and won. There is no doubt a lot of number fudging went on. I also have an auto-immune issue and no longer have much trust in many pharmaceuticals given the side effects both short and long term. One pill will never suit all. I've been rushed to hospital twice for allergic reactions that caused asthma attacks, so there was no chance I was volunteering for a shot. Over the years I've learned a lot about natural immunity - vitamin D being such a big key - that I haven't been hospitalised for asthma in 20 some years now, nor have I had anything close to resembling an attack. Not relying on medications boosted my confidence in my own ability to heal myself with nature.

We also supplement with D3. I read a book by an Indian doctor that explains all the ways D is used by the body. Also that the FDA recommended amounts are close to the minimum needed but not the optimal amount you should have for good health. That was a few years pre Covid but I think it's helped keep us healthy. Especially mu husband who seemed to get a lot of colds.

My immune system is always on red alert. Always looking for an enemy to kill. So I haven't been prone to viral illnesses, except for the 3 years I took the free flu shot at my old job. I was so sick those 3 years. I caught every cold, the FLU! and had walking pneumonia twice. So I stopped taking the flu shot and was healthy again.

It could be genetic. My mom never took the flu shot and never got the flu. But two of her friends also didn't. Then every winter they would be all healthy and all their older church friends were constantly sick.

I'm a big believer in exposure builds immunity. As long as you don't get blasted by a heavy viral load the body learns how to fight it unless someone is severely immune compromised.

It was the extreme immune response to Covid that was killing people.

This is hilarious if you haven't seen it. Start at the 3 min mark.

Correct. We began to store a little more each trip to the store. Always keeping some backup and rotating stock. Not buying 30 packages of tp, which happened in the beginning of wuhan. Find a great sale on meat...buy and can. Bible study and prayer are the best, we just don't have many around us, so we make calls and do Zoom classes online.

Very well stated! People could obtain hydroxy/iverm through telemed doctors, who knew it would help. We have it and I took it right away. Along with remaining on Quercetin/EGCG and other herbal items. I did not become upset with people who accepted the jab, but oh my, the people who were upset with me for not accepting it/them. Though the first month we cleaned Everything (store items, mail, etc) Then the medical community stated the virus doesn't live 5+ days, it's 4, then 3 then 1. We began to question and researched and made our decision.

Remember...Noah was a conspiracy theorist...then it rained.
Sounds like we have so much in common.
Ivermectin works great. Turkey tail mushroom and fendbendzole- those are the two I am researching now. My neighbor said so many studies on cancer treatment using those as supplements in addition to md care. My dog has cancer- she gets turkey tail for dogs...seems to be helping. She is 12.

Yes, daily recommended allowance is akin to driving with the fuel light constantly on. We would be peeved if the industry told us that was the recommended way of driving. I was taking a 10, 000 dose for a good while. A work friend used to get the flu shot each winter and, to be honest, I have never seen anyone look more miserable.

Funny clip , thanks!

I did find vitamin D was helpful as well! Quecertin, NAD, zinc, and good nutrition.
When I had a fever of 103 and low oxygen... I remembered we had ivermectin in our medicine for animals. Dosage was less but I took a small amount and went to sleep 6 hours later I was good as gold. Smell and taste returned and the fever was gone. Ivermectin isn't just antiparsitic but is also antiviral. Reduces inflammation. Fendbendzole is a dog dewormer and studies show it is known to reduce tumor sizes and help with cancer treatments. Imagine a cure so simple.... significant studies on this.

Another part of the shortage was, some is made into small rolls for home use and some is in big rolls for commercial buildings. When everyone stayed home they were unable to adjust.

Also because some people decided to horde and some people decided to try and make money off it. There were many factors. DH works at a place that requires n95 masks for certain jobs due to dust particles. They were limited to so many boxes they could order due to shortages. Although some boxes would just wind up...missing. After that his work tried to issue cloth masks but they refused to wear them because it didn't filter out particulates of dust.
