Thanks! They're dolls. The Star is a mutt though, not so much a breed. They help keep me sane and they're all VERY different dogs. God I love them so much. I would die for them. 😭

(Careful, though. The Killer is deceptively cute. It's a lie.)

Oh yeah, I figured, but still, shepherd mix, right? Love all shepherds/labs/his type of dogs šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

And :lau husky right? Or malamute?

Dogs are amazing and definitely help a lot!! I have a cat and lots of other pets But it’s not the same as a dog! I miss mine so much 😭:hit

Getting pretty ridiculous again. Who said disability payments would be revoked??
Personally I don't think anyone, or any business that wasnt directly affected by this should get anything. We have four kids so I'm thinking we're supposed to get $5g?
Why? I'm working. I know its also to stimulate the economy , and it would be nice to get some of my money I pay in back, but is it really necessary? Shouldn't there be a requirement that it only goes to those affected? It's not free money doesn't grow on trees.

Don't worry, as long as you're still working, you won't qualify. It's for people who get laid off as a result of the virus. Congrats on still being employed, by the way! šŸ‘

I've kept a closed flock for years and don't allow visitors who have poultry or have been on a property with chickens.
It is very unlikely Covid-19 will infect chickens.

Reply:

But incase it does mutate to a group 3 coronavirus, or another group 3 coronavirus spreads in chickens
Like is stated in a previous post, Patricia Wakenell exerted from Current Therapy in Avian Medicine and Surgery. This book is a reference tool for many vets, especially those focusing on birds. Patricia probably has more knowledge on poultry diseases than everyone on byc combined. You guys can continue to like the posts that target me as ill-informed, yet I dont see anyone posting any research that goes against my claims. And I have continued to provide the source of literature that provides treatment for coronavirus in poultry, has anyone here taken the time to look into it? Its alot easier to make an uninformed comment than an informed one...

I never saw you post referencing that particular person. I am sorry my questioning of your source offended you.

I have never in all my years seen or heard one single reference to giving birds powdered milk, added heat and antibiotics will cure anything.

This particular virus in fact has no known preventatives (aside from clean and distance yourself), or cures that are being explained or given to the HUMANS it affects. I doubt there are any cases being tested in chickens and have extreme doubt that IF any cases were found that a preventive protocol has been found and tested enough to KNOW it is effective.

Random misinformation convinced a man and his wife that an aquarium cleaning agent could save them. He is dead and she is hospitalized BECAUSE of bad info.

I prefer not to trust random odd sounding "this will fix that" stuff when the "this" has never been shown to REALLY treat the "that".

Forgive my pessimism.

I agree. There's a lot of work there. Cleaning cages is gross and hard. Handling 10lb animals who want to kick you with giant leg muscles is rough. Knowing your animals biology enough to diagnose when sick, having the skills to administer a shot and ID a problem, to book-keep records and calculate dosages, and research drug interactions, and recognize symptoms, and having the skill to handle an animal in a way that it doesn't get hurt, knowing how to pose it for photos and asses muscle structure for meat value, and how to butcher cleanly and advocate for good husbandry, well, all that has value. I work but I don't "work". I don't make enough in a year to pay taxes on it but I'm lucky to have people that value the work that I do anyhow.

I aint gonna see a cent of that tax rebate as it was written. But American Airlines and Hilton Hotels sure would have gotten a lot of it.

Funny. All those "essential workers" like the grocers, pharmacists, farmers, nurses, cashiers, line cooks, and all those other jobs get very little from a tax rebate, especially if it's a % based number.
But people who aren't very essential at all right now would get an awful lot. And they probably wouldn't spend it.
A lot of those grocery people the elderly ones are on disability šŸ˜’ poor people. I'm so sad for the world.

Dinner was a huge hit. Arborio rice with peppers/onions, Chipotle pork chops, and corn on cob.

My vegan dinner was peppers and onions on top of a homemade six veggie/bean burger on a mini everything bagel. Like a burger on a bagel 😁

Telling you this virus and no groceries is making my dinners better šŸ˜‚ or maybe my family is just hungry.

Also is everyone doing pork tonight or!? Saw someone else doing pork tonight too. We did pork last night but I didn’t eat any because I hate pork šŸ˜‚ ended up just having some toast and celery with PB lol
