@FortCluck , I have 2 hens 3yrs old, 2 hens 2yrs old, and 3 pullets 9mo old. I'm considering giving away the 2yr old hens (SLW) they're jerks but still laying. Can't imagine starting over every 16 months, I'd be exhausted!! I just started this journey 3 yrs ago. Yes, they all have names...LOL. They don't allow chickens in my suburb....foolish. Lots of McMansions, Range Rovers, you get the idea. Funny, this all used to be farm land!!

Mine all have names too! LOL well, except the boys! Unless idiot, dummy, “hey stupid!”, etc. count! meant in the most loving way possible!! I tend to yell at them like “hey idiot shut up!” When they get to crowing lol the girls have real names. And Jack gets a name since he’s an official flock member now.

Yes I got yeast yesterday and a sourdough starter today. We are well prepared. I need water and creamer but we'll get those tomorrow.

My husband got confirmation that the instructor he had contact with Monday does have the virus so we'll be in isolation through next weekend.

Listening to Pence speaking about 9,000 Ventilators now made available, made a comment about Anesthesiologist making anesthesia machines available as Ventilators. Well, if a hospital has 10 surgical suites, they have 10 anesthesia machines, If you have a community hospital that has 10 ICU beds, you only have 3 or 4 RNs available to take care of ventilated patients. This a problem. Dr. Birx is a nut job. DNR is warranted with some patients with multiple cormorbidities, unfortunately, not everyone will get better. I should not be the one to comment on all this, I've seen too much.....made me jaded.
