With my lung disease it's like I'm breathing through a straw walking up stairs.

Adding a mask to that sucks... Then if I get pneumonia like I had before, I really can't breathe. When my oxygen was 81% I felt like I was under water.

Been there. Done that. It's a terrible panicky feeling. Hope you're got it in control now!

Now you can see how it might run over a finger ....without so much as a hiccup, and keep right on going. Yep, not me or my quilt, but thanks. Although adorable and I aren't usually lumped into the same sentence very often. Ornery on the other hand...

I've sewn through my finger. No fun at all! I was making fleece socks at the time. REALLY close quarters and no visibility. Quite a surprise too!

I hand quilted for decades because I just couldn't learn the rhythm of free motion. Plus -- and this would be just as true with a long arm -- I can't figure out where to go when you've got to keep things moving.

Now I send them out for machine quilting so I can use them or give them in the same decade...

Just picked up a couple lbs of pea seeds and inoculant from our local feed store. Instead of just going in now you have to call them place a order and pay over the phone. Drive through the building where you pick up feed and they hand you your order.

I gave hubs all my "one size fits all" gloves from my shop and he is using masks. Even if those around him choose to risk it.

I'm awaiting delivery of goggles for all my family members.

CA has really good stats on case per million and deaths per million and I hope to help keep it that way!

You're talking about a country which forcibly performed abortions on women who already had a child. Putting everyone under house arrest for a virus pales in comparison, I think. ..and I say that as someone who supports individuals' right to make that decision but finds subjecting anyone to it against their will horrific.
