Can you share how you are making yours?
A video link is an awesome thing if you are following a video.
I did some research and then designed my own.
2 pieces of 8 x 6 inch fabric - im using tea towels for these 2 fabrics
1 piece of 8 x 6 inch fabric - im using a decorative quilting cotton (just a lightweight non stretchy cotton fabric)
2 pieces of 2.5 x 6 inch of the same quilting cotton or something that matches.
2 strips of elastic .25 inch width or .5 inch width by 8 inch
So i sew the 2 tea towel pieces on one side. Then attach the 6x8 quilting cotton to it. Fold it so you have three layers that make a 6x8 mask.
Then you iron a pleat about .5 inch from the top and the bottom.(see the pic with me holding open that pleat) Here ill mention, you can make it perfect and straight, but i promise if its a bit crooked and uneven uou wont be able to tell once its done!!
Now you'll lay the 2.5 x 6 inch piece against the edge of your large 6x8, print side up on both, but underneath and centered with the extra folded over the top. (The pic with the red polka dot fabric in it) Sew along that edge. Then do the same on the other edge with the other 2.5 x 6.
Now flip that 2.5 x 6 over so its plain side up and straighten the extra folded over bits. (Pic with my pinky up.) Fold it half way in. (Pic with pinky and ring finger up)Then fold it again. (Last pic) Sew it down.
Then attach a safety pin to the end of your elastic and feed it through the little tube you made. Sew the two ends of your elastic together.
Viola.
Tell me if you dont understand something, i dont usually do tutorials and seeing as i know exactly what i mean it makes perfect sense to me!
