At $1.50 a bird with free delivery to TSC ... and they'll even bring them right out to your vehicle? Works for me!
Actually, they are shipped via USPS for free. (I know it shows they go to TSC, but they don't)
One year they were delived to my house and last fall I went to the PO to pick them up.
I've ordered from many different hatcheries before but most have min shipping amounts or a high "small order" fee. Then add regular shipping on top of that.
For a small family I don't need 15 layer chicks at a time so the last two times I've ordered chicks I did it via TSC's Hoover pages.

What is weird is the TSC chicks come from Hoover, same exact chicks, but the prices are lower and there isn't the 15 minimum like if you order through Hoover directly.
Makes no sense.
Another bonus is that all of the chicks in each order arrived quickly, and were healthy and robust.

I have bought chicks directly during TSC's regular chick days, but usually I don't have a broody hen in March. I prefer to pop live chicks under a broody hen to eliminate the mess in the house whenever I can.

It's official, I just spend a small fortune on materials to make these feathered kids a run. Hubby insisted on it being 24' wide using coop wall, x37' long x36 wide to the fence line, then come in 11' to meet the brooding house. it will be 8' tall and have a fully fenced roof. No eagles or hawks will get to my babies! :fl I also insisted on a run inside the run for the wee ones in the brooding house, so when they are ready they have a little yard to acclimate to the bigger kids.
Someone, please tell me I haven't completely lost my mind!!!:barnie:wee:confused:
OMG you could probably build a mansion instead! 😂🙈

Meyer Hatcherys minimum is only 3!!! :D But you do have to pay semi a lot for shipping but still. My Pet Chicken has a low minimum too.

Red never bothered me either, that's why I defend him!:hugs
Red appreciates your defense! 😂😍

It was kind of weird/inappropriate/kinda gross but also kinda funny just cause it was so strange and I could hear people laughing in the background 😂

Number was blocked too aha just a bunch of bored idiot kids messing around I guess 😂
