That's a extremely sad situation. The elderly lady crying because she couldn't find any toilet paper really made me extremely sad. Even if everything is restocked it's not safe for that senior woman to visit a mall. It really breaks my heart.:hit

Today I heard that many of the elderly who are hit hardest by Covid are folks who grew up in the Depression and fought WWII and the Korean War. Don't know if those references apply there in India, Kabootar, but some of those folks have already lead traumatic lives and now some of them are dying alone.

If the Depression and WWII had lesser effects in the subcontinent, then I would imagine your elderly are the ones who experienced the trauma of ousting the British and then separating from Pakistan. Have I got that more or less right?

Oh wow that must have been awful!! I avoid mosh pits and the front for this very reason lol always been scared of the pits :lau

I used to at least go kind of near the front and still do the jumping, clapping, participating, but now I’m perfectly happy to stand near the back or side :lau
See, I didn't know this. I was just so stoked to be up front, I thought I hit the jackpot. Well, the jackpot was knocked over and broken within seconds lol.
I was only 19 and had only been to one other concert but it was outside. This concert was inside a nightclub type thing which is not very big at all.

Good to see someone living in the real world.
The fact that one has to pay for a Covid-19 test and any other medical problems in the USA is in part going to be responsible for the high mortality rate.
Medical care should be a human right and free at point of service.
It often gets overlooked that it is our response to epidemics that causes high death rates and other associated problems rather than the disease itself.
We are approximately three months into this Covid-19 epidemic and in the USA, since the testing and acknowledgement that this disease is a problem, 4,055 people have died.
Others may have died and their cause of death attributed to the flu.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1093256/novel-coronavirus-2019ncov-deaths-worldwide-by-country/Last year in the USA alone an estimated 40,000 people died from road traffic accidents.

Wish I could love this one a dozen times!

National health came to Britain as a result of the trauma of WWII. Is that true of other parts of Europe? Maybe this trauma will make the genuine need for it here apparent at last. Fingers crossed!

Hey! Actions -- or inaction in this case -- have consequences. He's doing this to himself. ...at the same time he's done it to us.

Meanwhile, have you heard him acknowledge health care workers and thank them yet? I can't remember such a statement but I'm still trying to get over my fury at him suggesting that they were hoarding or skimming off critical safety equipment!
