I have been through this with my Husband. You can get different test strips that don't require so much blood! You will need a new reader also. My husband went to the class at the hospital and the nurse/instructor took a look at what he was doing and said the brand that was ordered for him just took too much blood to fill that end part. I don't know if this helps or what your Doctor/insurance allows.
Thanks!! That was very helpful!! :)

Thanks again!!! Good to know. I don’t think they’re purposely keeping the results from me or anything but maybe forgot or something. Idk. I’m gonna call tomorrow I think.

And that’s a huge relief!! Thanks!! I just checked it at 8:30 and it was 116 :th

I’m not sure why the fasting is so high but yet after eat it’s so low

And I’m sure it’s not really “high” but still.
I hadn’t eaten since like 7:30 last night (except a few prunes maybe at 9:30 or 10) so true fasting and I hadn’t even moved out of bed yet so no exercise lowering it.

I’m going to have to carry the thing around and check it cause sometimes I’ve felt kind of weird or weak or whatever and then I try juice and I’m fine but maybe placebo or something aha

But I need to carry it around and check. Problem is I haven’t felt like that in a while and when I do, never know when I’m going to. Sometimes happens after too much exercise though.

You already found the key....exercise. Movement lowers blood sugar.
Your 116 is fine. Maybe a tiny tiny bit higher than 100 but definitely not dangerous at all.

I went there and solved the problem . I'm a dirt snob and it will take some more compost to be up to my standards, :barnie I saw the actual garden mix that they sell and it's just like mine. Oh well.

I'm my opinion that's not the greatest garden mix to be selling, but the only way to know for sure would be to put it to the test. Did you try planting any thing in in yet?

Okay thank you!! I need to be better about exercising. maybe this would be a good reason to start.

And I’m glad it’s not bad!! Cause I’ve read so many conflicting things that it’s hard to know. Like the book I think said as low as 70 or as high as 120 was totally normal but then I found other stuff that said over 100 was prediabetic and then there’s stuff like yours where it’s 300s and even 100s seems totally normal so idk :barnie

I’ll take your word for it though that it is not bad or dangerous.

And I’m sorry to be so weird or annoying or whatever about it.

Oddly, I wasn’t really worried at all before but then with everything everyone had said, now I’m kind of paranoid.

Maybe I just need to lock the thing away and start walking daily though :lau

The thing is people have walked around touching unfamiliar things with the gloves and they want them OFF before they get in their cars. Understandable but it doesn't mean they can't carry a baggie with them. They remembered the gloves. They can remember a baggie. Then they can put the gloves in the baggie, take them home (NOT even into their house) and put them in the trash properly.

I have a bag of disinfectant sheets in my car as well so I can wipe my hands and the steering wheel.

The prob is some people just don't think of more than what meets their needs. I think that's the terrible flaw in our society and what we're suffering from in a hundred different ways. We're a nation of 8yos.

Here's a good video on cross contamination. This is another big problem, it's the false sense of safety when wearing them.

I wonder what would have happened if the what is reputed to amount to an almost 10 trillion rescue package for USA businesses had been invested in health services.
Suppose that all the recommendations regarding personal health care had been issued but people had still been allowed to carry on working. It would seem probable that in the short term more people would have died but what about in the long term?
Maybe there is something in the idea that a fast burn through the population might be the better option.

Thank you!!
I keep trying to drill home the cross contamination thing to hubs.
He is very frustrated by all the restrictions to daily "want to do" "want to go".
He gets a bit mad when I follow his want to with "go to the hospital" or "be on a ventilator" .

For real I don't want any of that for anyone.
