Oddly my day was pretty good till then. Still is. I’m okay so I think it’s funny now. chicken had the last laugh

And that’s the weird thing... we’ve had poison bait stations out for like a month at least and they’re being eaten so I don’t get it!!

I threw the rat away so the chickens wouldn’t eat it.

It was pretty big though but not the biggest I’ve ever seen I guess but still.

I guess first step is removing the pile of shavings back there.

In addition to that I also moved something and had like at least 3, maybe 5, rats all stampede out and scurry under the coop and found a dead one too so that was LOVELY. I screamed.

So that’s how my day is going

I’m okay though. It’s actually quite funny. One of my chickens was being mean to the new ones so I chased her to give her a taste of her own medicine except I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and also forgot I had the hose on so the grass was all wet so I slipped on the hill (which was like a slip and slide) and completely face planted into the ground

yup! My own fault though cause the hose had been running a little while and turned the hill into a slip and slide
