Three inches for me. I can read print without glasses at 3". Getting my eyes uncrossed afterward so I can drive is a bit of a challenge ....

Well not really but I’ve tried lowering my phone to like my knees or whatever and can barely read it. Has to be like a foot or less from my face.

Even the TV in the other room is too small and hurts my eyes if I try to watch it from the bed. It’s not even that small or far away.

And some stuff is not clear/in focus if it’s too far away ahah at least reading words. Which is weird cause I can see the trees and animals and stuff perfectly fine even from pretty far away lol but can’t read for shit

Also can barely see the stars lmao

That was me before I got glasses for astigmatism, which has to do with eye shape. Very common. And I have dual focus spots.

I'm sure there are people around here somewhere with eggs, I just haven't had much time to get out and meet a ton of people yet. All my new friends are quilters or gardeners and I'm the one they ask when they need eggs. Last year craigslist was littered with egg, chick, and poultry listings but this year it's like I'm the only one around with chickens.
Maybe it's because people are putting things into the freezer this year instead of selling.
Plenty of pig and cattle ads though...

Southwest. And I'm not sure yet.

Ok, correction... I want one of everything again. But I am trying to stick to only what we need right now since my current smaller farm doesn't have as much pen and pasture space for chickens as my previous farm did.
I've got some Red Rangers and a couple of other breeds coming soon, but mostly I'm looking for what would be a good mix with the RRs for a heftier but self sustainable flock. I'm also keeping my current layers.
Feeding a bottomless pit, um... I mean a teenager here.

I am quite shocked in how easy it is for me to get decent fertile eggs that are local. So far I have found ducks, chickens, and quail.

I had to get a laptop in order to manage what I am doing with breeding and selling because I cannot keep track of everything on paper. I am that person who tosses stuff and realizes later that I needed it.

I had to start keeping details in a note book. Selling loads of chicks.

Yeah, my memory is like a sieve. I have Mille Fleur D'uccles, bantam mottled cochins, Large Fowl cochins, Gold Laced Polish, Tolbunt Polish and Crested Cream Legbars. Also two silkie hens I have a rooster for, but have not set up a breeding area yet so rooster is a bachelor so far.
