It's really wrecking small businesses shipping. These days Amazon is starting to do their own shipping and a lot of times where I live it's UPS from big companies so this just hurts small and specialty businesses, not large companies.
It’s wrecking my shopping from home too. Not like that’s a big deal...

But lots of seniors get their pills through USPS so not sure what’s going to happen with that.

Lots of people will most likely die from a lot of the decisions that are being made.

According to news reports the new postmaster general, a political appointee/donor, had been doing cuts for a little while now and just recently came out and said.."Yes, we are making cuts and changing procedures." (paraphrasing) Something employees have been saying for a while now.
It looks from the outside that these changes were not approved by the review board (or whomever the group is that makes appropriate decisions about the USPS) and may have been made against regulations. (Don' know how the USPS runs and was only half paying attention)

At any rate people are not getting their important medications in the mail because first class mail and express shipping has been changed unbeknownst to them.

I can't begin to wonder how much this will effect eggs and chicks until things get fixed.

I’ve noticed this is an old topic, but being farmers and ranchers we haven’t had or been around many people! Before it hit hard I’d had a doctor appointment and went to Walmart and got my TP. I always buy the big packages as we’re 130 miles from our closest Walmart.
I worked at a restaurant, when they went to take out only so I was/am out of a job! Which customers had started to dwindle my last two weeks there.
The reservation we live on put up checkpoints and really will not let anyone through and making people go extra miles out of their way! We’re still dealing with them and our communities are sick of this as they have been rude to us and let people go anyway! Our tribal chairman’s plan is to put up toll booths!
Our church is back in progress and with me being home I’ve had more time to get to know my chicks better! It had been about 11 years since I’d had chickens.
I am also blessed that I have a hobby where I could help out our businesses by making masks for them! Thank goodness for them!! I burned myself out working too many hours back to back to make as many as possible! I haven’t been back in my sewing room since.
So that’s my story about how Covid-19 has affected me!! Oh yes I did get put to work in the hay fields, which I love anyway!

Most of my family is in the restaurant industry. They've been hit hard but my son got fired for the first time ever in his life for visiting his mother and sister. They said he was being careless in his private life.
Are you Native American?

Yes I am, just don’t live on the reservation I am from, of that makes sense! I moved up here 18 years ago for an ambulance job, messed up my back so not doing that anymore!

Tough gigs.

How do you feel about Gov. Kristi Noem's fight with the tribes' attempt to keep themselves safe from Covid 19?

Thanks for posting your story anyway. That was the original intention of this thread.

Priority is not good either. I’ve been waiting 2 weeks so far 😢
